Quarry and Terracotta tile cleaning and sealing

As a tile restoration company we find ourselves cleaning and waxing many quarry and terracotta tiles all over Buckinghamshire. These tiles are porous and so really do hold the dirt and particularly original quarry and terracotta that have many coats of wax and oils applied over the years. Our service will deep clean these tiles to lift all the grime and then we will refinish them with colour enhancing attractive waxes and sealers.

Terracotta and quarry tile cleaning and waxing — In this one above you can see the terracotta tiles that have been cleaned and stripped of old oils and dirt. We then applied a traditional linseed oil finish and hard wax to this one that really brought out the colour.

Exterior patio and stone tile cleaning

Every spring and summer we try get out doors as much as possible to clean and restore exterior tiles and stone. We are able to completely renew York stone, Indian Sand stone, Limestone , Slate , Granite and just about any other tile.

We apply mold removing chemicals that reach deep into porous stones such as Sand stone and remove even the toughest algae’s and lichens, even black spots. We can then deep clean stone tiles with appropriate cleaning processes in order to completely renew them making them look great again.

Fashionable cement encaustic tiles come in different shapes and colours and have a distinct handmade bespoke look that adds undeniable charm to any home, however……They are an absolute nightmare to keep looking good and are some of the most easily stained tiles that I have ever had to deal with as a professional tile restorer! Cement tiles are incredibly porous and they are not fired in a kiln so they are fairly soft. Then on top of this the pigments used in the colours are sensitive to most liquids that will bleach the darker colours very noticeably. So what you essentially have is a soft open pored cement tile that allows any liquid to easily pass through it and effect the very sensitive pigments within.
