Deep cleaning Marble stone
I chemically strip and steam clean bathrooms and marble that I am refurbishing. All grout lines get a detailed scrub and this process deep cleans by removing the most ingrained dirt sitting deep within the porous tiles. This also removes old seals and tile products that interfere with new seals and sometimes lock in discoloration and dirt. After the marble is clean its time for resurfacing and polishing!
Repair when marble gets damaged in bathrooms by bleach and acidic detergents
Allot of the time I get called when clients have used inappropriate cleaning products on marble and limestone that has etched the surface and removed the shine. You can actually feel the damage if you run your hand over it.
How do we actually repair these etches in Marble?
We simply remove fine layers of the stone until we have set it all back to a good surface. We then start to get less aggressive with the grades of diamond pads to bring out a natural shine in the marble. This process is known as stone honing and polishing.
