Stone marble polishing and cleaning Amersham Chorleywood

If your marble, limestone ,travertine slate or any natural stone is looking tired and dull then I can help bring it back to life!

I am based near Chorleywood and Amersham and have worked with all types of natural stone and can completely grind and resurface it to remove unsightly etch marks and scratches and then polish it up to a high shine. If you want to take the shine up a notch we can even crystallize it.

Resurfacing and honing badly etched and scratched stone and marble

When we are faced with stone that has been damaged over the years and usually has allot of scratches, etch marks from acidic products in showers and around sinks etc. Then we need to get more aggresive with it in terms of cutting it down. This allows us to cut deeper into the stone and then remove deeper marks and scratches.

Once we have achieved a clean uniform surface we can then start to bring the stone up to a natural shine by using finer grades of diamond abrasives.

Cleaning your marble an limestone tiles

I will start with deep cleaning and scrubbing grout lines and steam cleaning any deeply ingrained patches of grime. After grout lines are fresh we can see their condition and then there is an option to regrout the odd line that didn’t come clean. I will usually chemically strip the stone first to remove old unwanted tile sealing products that can interfere with new seals and sometimes trap dirt deep withing the stone.

If I am afforded the time I like to steam clean as much of the stone as possible as I feel this reaches deeper and pulls out dirt that is very deeply ingrained. Its true that the diamond resurfacing pads will remove the surface therefore cleaning the stone but steam cleaning marble and limestone before polishing just seems to make it that much more fresher!
